Halloween 2010

Happy Halloween! The boys had an awesome Halloween that lasted several days. It started at their day care with a trip to a pumpkin patch. They walked around looking for different types of pumpkins (who knew there so many!) and enjoyed cupcakes and juice before going home.

The Friday before Halloween, the boys had their official day care party. All the kids looked great. Below is the group shot - can you find Danny and Tyler?

Their costumes don't need much explanation - police officer and a cowboy - but their personalities added some flair. Danny took the role very seriously. During our neighborhood party, he was telling kids he was watching them and not to do anything that would land them in jail. He even asked a couple adults for their driver's license. I guess he's seen Daddy get pulled over one too many times. Tyler was very happy to be a cowboy. His favorites of the day included, "Gitty-up, horsey!" and tipping his hat.

Back to Danny taking his police officer duties seriously, one of the neighbors was dressed as an escaped convict. You can see Danny in the background eyeing the "con". LuAnn is making sure Danny stays focused on his hot dog and chips.

We are very lucky to live on a wonderful street with incredible neighbors. When we first moved in, we were told about the Halloween tradition. This year the food congregated in front of our house and we had a blast. Later, the dads took the kids trick or treating while the moms took their chairs and handed out treats to save other families from having to wander up and down our dead-end street.
