You know it's been a long time since you blogged when your computer doesn't recognize the website address when you started typing it in. And you know it's been a REALLY long time when YOU then can't even remember the rest of the website address yourself.
Sorry about that, folks. But if you didn't believe me that I went back to work full time (albeit for myself) then you should believe it now. Mark and I have realized that we're turning into our parents: work, work, work, kids, kids, kids...rest? Nope. And this month, sleeping became optional. Here's what we've been up to since we last talked:
1. Mark had been holding down two jobs -- his state position starting at the wee hour of 6:30 am and then consulting on the side, which sometimes means we don't see him until 7:30 or 8 at night.
2. I published my first book! Only, it's not really MY book. It's my client's book. I was the ghost writer, which suits me quite well. Here it is: www.cutyourtaxbook.com (I would be happy to send you a free book or ebook in exchange for an honest(ly sparkling) review on Amazon:)
3. Danny accompanied me to Chicago for the book release party. He had the difficult job of playing in the snow and eating Babcia's fabulous pancakes for breakfast every morning. Tough life. And Tyler survived under Mark's care, which is commendable.
4. Last week Danny got his tonsils and adenoids out...and ear tubes back in. Which is why I'm extra exhausted right now. Oh, did I mention that Tyler got ear tubes at the same exact time? Not sure if that was a brilliant or stupid plan. But, really, Tyler's never felt better and recovered immediately. Danny's been doing very well given the circumstances. He just won't stop doing the "Danny freak out" which means overreacting to any small thing by hitting, screaming, and crying uncontrollably. This past week, that behavior has been so stressful for us that it usually ends up with me or Mark screaming right back at Danny, "DO YOU UNDERSTAND THAT IF YOU DON'T STOP SCREAMING RIGHT THIS SECOND, YOUR THROAT WILL START SPEWING BLOOD?!" (Or something else just as crude and desperate.)
So there you have it. I'll try to post pictures this week as well but looking at my calendar, it wouldn't be wise to bet on that. I'll do my best!
