Until this year, we've been too cheap and lazy to do the whole "sit on Santa's lap" thing. Who wants to spend $20 and 2 hours in line at the mall only to get a really bad photo of your completely terrified baby who doesn't even know why they're being terrified by a huge man in a red suit and a booming voice in the first place?
But this year, Danny gets it. He knows who Santa is...and he knows that if he can get a meeting set up, he may be able to come out of it with a shiny new scooter come Christmas morning. So we had to give the kid his opportunity. Good thing we found out that our newest area shopping center has Santa hours every weekend until Christmas...and you take your OWN photos. FREE. And it appears that no one else got the flyer because we walked right up to Santa as soon as we got there. No lines. For those in the Austin area: the Hill Country Galleria, people.
And it's a good thing it was free. Because even though we finally got Danny to cough out his request for the big guy, he wouldn't sit on his lap. Neither would Tyler. And both boys CERTAINLY weren't about to let mommy step away from them for a photo, either. So this is the best we got!
