Hey, all. We're soaking up the rain in Minnesota. You betcha! It's been raining so much that it's been a little difficult getting to the farm on the country roads. Everytime we get to a patch of water over the road, I hear Jim Spencer, Austin's weather guy, scream into my ear, "Turn around! Don't drown!" But thankfully the rain stopped and it was so beautiful yesterday. Since there hasn't been any dogs or cats here on the farm in a while, the wildlife has taken over. Rabbits are as common as squirrels and Danny's been enjoying trying to sneak up on them and get as close as we can. The bear that snooped around the house this winter is still living down by the river and other critters like woodchucks, foxes and hawks are all around, so when we take our walks, we bring a stick with us and make lots of noise "just in case."
Another thing I didn't remember is that it stays so light outside during the summer. It doesn't get dark until just before 10 pm and the sun starts rising at 4:30!! Poor Danny is very confused and is restless from 4:30 to 5:30 every morning trying to decide if it's time to get up or not. But he's been having so much fun and he adores spending time with his cousins!
Sorry there aren't any pictures yet, but I forgot to bring the cable for the camera. But I'm taking plenty!
