Oh Danny Boy

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Danny did his best to celebrate by wearing green, playing and helping us in the front yard which is full of greenery and had his first sushi bar experience. Wait! Scratch that last part; that's just me indulging a little as spring break winds down.

Danny is 1/16th Irish (so LuAnn's calculation says) and we wanted to make sure he was dressed appropriately for the day. LuAnn put him in anything green and the glasses were a very nice touch. Unfortunately, when we'd slide the glasses over his eyes Danny proceeded to do his best Stevie Wonder impersonation. Wearing them on his head was good enough.

Danny is becoming very good at eating his puffs and cheerios so while at Umi, one of our favorite Japanese restaurants, Danny had some sticky rice. As you might guess the rice did a very good job sticking to his little fingers and face but he loved it when he managed to get some rice in his mouth. I tried to help by feeding Danny with my chopsticks and it worked very well but as the saying goes, "give a man a fish and feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and feed him for life". I showed Danny the chopsticks but he liked holding them in separate hands. We'll try again next time...
