Here's an unofficial "3 month portrait" of Danny. It'll have to do, until I get off my duff and get real portraits taken! I also need to remember take more pictures of the other people that I talk about--because at this point, I know you're wondering if our "friends" are really real.
We spent most of Friday at the mall with Amber and Hunter (who also celebrated her 3 month birthday this weekend). Luckily, Danny and Hunter were on the same eating schedule. For those of you keeping score, Nordstrom has the most relaxing and accommodating women's lounge for such activities.
Then on Sunday, I had brunch with "the girls" at Moonshine -- one of the best brunches in Austin. I grabbed the keys to Mark's Lexus and rescued my friend Kris (who has two toddlers) -- we were just so happy and thankful to be out of the house, lookin' great and not having to worry about the boys for a few hours! Mark didn't mind: he was homebound watching the Bears vs. Vikings game anyway (which nearly ended in disaster for him...but the Bears pulled it out in the end). Our very good friend Mike Valentine came over last night to cook us dinner, because that's the kind of guy he is. Mike lives in Vancouver but travels the countryside (and occasionally overseas) teaching IT certification classes. Mark took one of his classes a few years ago and they've been friends ever since. He's in Austin teaching for 2 weeks this time, so we're looking forward to spending some quality time with our favorite Canadian.

LuAnn and Mark are my favourite best friends in Austin. In fact, I have secretly applied for them to receive Canadian citizenship, in case another Bush gets elected President.
And to be fair, I did not cook for them this time, I just chose convenient pre-cooked items... but I COULD cook.
