Happy birthday! (The first 3 months)

Today is Danny's 3 month birthday and we couldn't be prouder! I had a lot of time to reflect upon the past months during our three nursing sessions in the wee hours this morning. Here's what I'd like Danny to know:

As you start to become more aware, the time we spend with you is so rewarding: your smiling, cooing and laughing...and even your pouting, groaning and crying. Your squeals of excitement and screeches of frustration. Nothing melts our hearts more than the pure love you show in your eyes and in your smile when you come face to face with each one of us in the morning. As if to say, "Thanks for getting me through another day--I'm so happy I picked you as my parents!"

It seems like every day, you reach a new milestone. Turning your head to follow your favorite toy, wanting to sit up (with a little help), imitating daddy as he shakes his head and makes funny faces. The next three months will bring even more changes as you eat your first solid food, practice sitting up on your own and start teething. We can't wait to continue the adventure with you!
