Pigskin training begins

Danny's appreciation for football officially began yesterday. It was a big weekend and since Danny had a cold, he was more than happy to sit with me and watch all the action. As much as I'd like to believe he was absorbing my commentary, I think the fast moving and colorful players had his attention.

I mentioned it was a big weekend but let me run it down for you...

Danny and I started with the Irish putting the hurt on Penn State followed by a disappointing Longhorn loss to the Buckeyes. Payback is never fun. On Sunday the fun continued watching the Red Zone channel from noon to 3 while LuAnn took a trip out of the house. Danny managed to watch that with me for almost 45 minutes. I still think it has to be the colors of the uniforms. At 3 PM we sat down to a family viewing of the Bears-Packers game. I loved watching the Bears hand Favre his first career shutout loss but what I loved even more was Danny smiling at me when I jumped up to celebrate a Bears touchdown. LuAnn made sure Danny was ready to watch the game and even checked with me to find out if it was a road or home game for the Bears. As Danny's handsome socks illustrate, this was a road game.
