Happy birthday my dear, sweet Tyler!
I don't think I have ever anticipated a birthday quite like this one. I'm overwhelmed with pride and love; and have been a sappy mess already this week. Maybe that's also because your brother's third birthday is just days away as well. But perhaps it's mostly because of all of the growing you've been up to...
You can stand on your own for a few seconds at a time. And you can walk alone (for a few steps) if you really, really want to. Holding on to my hands, you have the confidence to literally run across the room -- I can barely keep up. I've been calling you "Speedy G." Any day now, you're going to take off on your own.
And can we talk about talking? Geez. What a motor mouth! While "mama" was officially your first word, you are certainly a daddy's boy right now. Every time he walks in the door, you swoon, "Dada!" It's heart melting. Danny is "DuhDeh." And you have full blown conversations that only you can understand. Your sign language is just as impressive -- you can sign "milk," "food," "more," and "all done" like a master. Oh, and you love to dance and "sing" -- that's my boy!
You love being a part of the action. You clap when Danny sings a song (and you try to join in). You are a complete clown -- blowing strawberries, mimicking my actions,
asking for tickles...some silly things you do just because you know you'll get a laugh.
And, oh, you're such a cuddler!
So happy birthday, my little man. I'm loving who you have become and I can't wait to see what the next year has in store! ...Mommy
