Happy Mother's Day to our moms and all the moms we love! The boys took me to Laguna Gloria/Mayfield Park for a picnic breakfast this morning and it was spectacular! I thought Danny would get bored because the "park" we were going to would have no slides or jungle gyms to speak of, but he could have stayed all day. (And we may have, except that he had a little "accident" and I forgot an extra pair of shorts...). He ran around from peacock to pond to flower, saying, "Mommy! Daddy! Look at that! LOOK at THAT!"
Here are some photos from the day, as well as the rest of the weekend.
We got a surprise guest this afternoon. Mark found a kitten in our backyard while he was mowing. And the kitten was surprisingly healthy, although we knew it belonged to a homeless cat that's been in our neighborhood for a long time. I sent an APB out but didn't get any interest before taking it to the shelter before it closed this evening. My hands are full enough around here. And both boys sleep through the night right now. I'm not about to stay up all night with a cat. Anyway, he's in the last picture of the group with Tyler, who thankfully was too scared to touch him. Danny was another story...
