Fargo Floods

I got this link from my sister-in-law in Moorhead. These are the most stunning pictures I've seen from the flooded areas so far. My family is fine and weren't in immediate danger. The Christoffers kids (all FIVE of them) have been home now for THREE WEEKS (because before the flooding, they had spring break). Poor Collette. Mike and Emily spent some time filling sandbags at the Fargo Dome.

Amazing what the people of the area have gone through....and continue to face. It's been an experience following the events through the eyes of my childhood friends on Facebook. In fact, that's where I got most of my news about the flooding because my friends and former schoolmates were continually updating their personal stories...from sandbagging, to manning the pumps all night, to being evacuated (and coming back home again). As a PR person, it was very exciting to witness firsthand how breaking news is now being shared through these types of social networks.
As for us, Danny went through a horrible night. Didn't know that a kid could be SO miserable ALL NIGHT LONG. But he's better this morning and finally ate some breakfast. I've got my babysitter coming to give me a break. Let' just hope it doesn't hit Tyler too hard. (Because the peditrician pretty much said he will get it, too. Hey, might as well get it all over at one time!).
