The perfect family unit

OK, so I'm at the computer. With a few minutes to spare. But can't find our camera cable yet so I can't download Christmas pictures. Hrmph.

So, until then, please enjoy these photos taken by the now-made-famous-by-this-blog Kris Luck. I feel a bit guilty at how well these turned out. We look like the perfect little family unit: all happy and not a care in the world! And -- don't get me wrong -- we are pretty close. But, come on! So to make you all feel better, here's a little window into today's reality:

Both boys have ear infections and since Danny's ears are still "wholly" from his last ear tubes, he's dripping ear goop all over the place. Plus, he's seen the movie Cars about 30 times in the past 2 weeks. Tyler is also wheezing and coughing like an elderly smoker and needs a nebulizer every 4 hours. I've been having to sleep with Tyler draped over my chest for the last couple nights, so I'm constantly sleep deprived, covered in snot, and need a good scrubbing (not to mention a facial and a pedicure). We've been in the new house for almost two weeks and I have yet to sleep in my room! Mark got to try it out for the first time last night. Speaking of Mark: he is surprisingly healthy, but running himself ragged trying to get our other house ready to be listed for lease.

There. Now you know the truth behind the photos. But we're thankful for the new house and happy to have each other! It will certainly be a year to remember. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
