The boys this week

Just back from yoga and Tyler only cried through about 20 minutes of it. What a trooper!

He's really been hitting some big milestones this week, now that he's reaching 12 weeks on Monday. These pictures show him checking out his new best friend: the Boppy seat. And checking out HIMSELF in the mirror. He's also [thankfully] decided that taking naps and sometimes sleeping all night in the swing is for, well, babies. But he's also not fond of his crib. Danny went through the same thing. So we've been having to work through some sleep training techniques. We'll let you know how it's going after the weekend. It's good timing since his sleeping habits are starting to resemble an actual schedule, so we'll be gently pushing him towards that, too.

What's up with Danny this week? Well, yesterday we had two almost ER-worthy happenings. First, he lodged a Mr. Potato Head nose in his mouth. His mouth was stuck wide open and I nearly couldn't get it unstuck from behind his front teeth. THAT would have been amusing for the ER staff, I'm sure. Then, only about an hour later, he decided to see what happens to a burner on the stove once mommy turns it off. Guess what? It stays hot for a while. Really hot. And little fingers that touch it will get burnt. But a little TLC and first aid from dear old dad and he forgot all about it. This morning, he remembered that he was supposed to be sensitive about his hand, but he could remember why or which hand. It was precious.
