Now I know why my last post was a little negative. That night I came down with a huge fever and felt so horrible that, let's just say, I spoke with Jesus a few times. Turns out I have what appears to be walking pneumonia. I wouldn't recommend it when you have a newborn and a 2 year old to take care of. Mark had to work all weekend or school would literally not start today so we had some wonderful neighbors and friends pitch it to take Danny off my hands while Tyler and I tried to rest. I'm on antibiotics now and feel so very much better. Although I could use a long dose of sleep at this point! Maybe in couple months. I'll rewrite Tyler's 2 month message in a few days when my outlook on life is back to normal!
And, as it goes, life with kids must go on. So I got myself together this morning to take Tyler to his 2 month check up. Turns out he is having no problem at all thriving. His height has remained steady at 24 inches (90%). His weight--and need I remind you that he's not a very big eater--has shot up even higher on the charts and is nearly 16 lbs. That's off the growth chart for his age. Need a comparison? At 2 months, Danny was 22 inches and 11 1/2 lbs. Boy, oh, boy.
Sorry about no photo this time. But I haven't the energy. Tyler's settled down into his precious swing so it looks like it's time for me get 20 minutes of Z's as well! Thank goodness Danny's at daycare today! (Hope these last posts haven't scared off those of you I know read this and haven't had children yet!)
PS -- Happy late anniversary to Mark's parents!
