2 weeks in and so far so good...

Tyler is nearly 2 weeks old and we're starting to get used to life as a foursome. My wonderful mom has gone home amidst some tears from both me and Danny. But Mark's dad arrived the next day and Danny's world is bright and sunny again! Tyler -- our tremendously good sleeper -- is starting to suffer a little bit of crankiness and sleeplessness in the wee hours, reminding us of what it's like to have a "regular" newborn. So it's off the dairy for me (again, amidst some tears on my part) which seems to help his tummy feel a bit better. I'm trying to tell myself that it will only help me loose the baby fat. Of course, with how little I gained compared to my pregnancy with Danny (35 lbs compared to 55!) and with how big Tyler was, I thankfully don't have far to go.

And we certainly don't have to worry about Tyler's weight. His check up was Friday and he's well past catching back up to his birth weight and is over 10 lbs now. Basically, he's the size Danny was at 2 1/2 months old! He hasn't gotten any taller, but at 23 inches he's off the charts still for his age. It'll be really interesting to see if he maintains his height as he gets older and becomes taller than Danny!
