Danny's started really getting sweet on a few girls in his life. He's always mentioning Sophie from his class and gets bashful when I tease him about it. He also is constantly talking about our 3 year old neighbor Aaliya, only he calls her "Leela." He'll talk about how Leela likes puppy (his stuffed animal), and "Shhh, Leela's sleeping!" in the morning, and "I go swim with Leela?" The last one started because Danny's gone over to swim in her kiddie pool with her a few times in the past few weeks. Here's a picture of them the other day. But the story has a heartbreaking ending. Aaliya and her parents are moving a few miles away in June and Sophie is leaving daycare to go to a Montessori school. Sigh. Looks like Danny is going to learn some lessons in love early.
