OK! OK! OK! I know Danny's fans have been eagerly awaiting his Halloween pictures. Let me just explain myself. Danny's grandparents were here last weekend. But while they were here, Mark's dad had some chest pain and ended up with a blocked artery and an overnight stay at the hospital. He was well taken care of and was back on his feet fixing our bathroom sink and putting together a new wagon for Danny in no time (despite us urging him to take it easy...). There was one good thing about the whole situation: babcia and dziadzia got to stay for Halloween since he wasn't cleared to fly again until this morning.
We have tons of pictures from their visit. But I'll start with Halloween, since that's what everyone's waiting for! At school, Danny was Brian Urlacher from the Chicago Bears. Mark and I met him there for a party in the afternoon and I dressed just like him. For trick-or-treating, Danny was a pirate. I couldn't believe that for once, he kept his pirate hat on all night! (We've been practicing for weeks and it never stayed on for more than 30 seconds!) My makeup secret for parents of young children: waterproof mascara! It doesn't rub off, but it comes off easily with a baby wipe.
Danny had the best time trick-or-treating around our street. I was suprised! And so polite -- most of the time, he would take a piece out of his basket and try to "exchange" it for the new piece he was given. Too bad for him, we really don't let him eat candy yet. But Mark and I will enjoy one last year of stealing candy out of his basket without him caring!
