Look who's 8 months old!

Danny is 8 months old today. Holy cow. He's turned into such a little boy. He's starting crawl now the way he should - but mostly he does this sort of "frog leap" to get around. And can he get into trouble fast! Several times a day I walk into the room or glance over to where he was playing and he's no where to be found! Yesterday he pulled himself up to stand while I was on the phone. Oh, boy. Mark and I also love the way he laughs. We can get him giggling so hard that tears roll down his checks! But no teeth yet. Can you believe it? So Mark wins the bet after all!

I brought Danny to Ash Wednesday Mass at St. Michael's Catholic Academy (where Mark works) and he sat calmly and relatively quietly the whole time! Which is good, because we sat with the teachers and staff in the front row of the auditorium so all eyes were on us the whole time. He's getting over his temporary stranger anxiety, which is a great relief. So the next couple months we'll be experimenting with how he handles himself on his own...at the gym daycare, for instance. Below are some more 8-month pictures. I couldn't decide which one to use! I'm about to start putting the pictures of Danny and his grandparents up on Snapfish. So when I do, I'll post the link. I can tell he really misses having them around!
