Mommy is HOW old?!

This is Danny. Mommy's taking the day off for her 30th birthday and I'm filling in. Wow. 30. That's like a hundred years old or something. Anyway, I made sure Mom had a great birthday, even though it started out rough. I just couldn't sleep very well last night--no matter how hard I tried. But she stuck in there with me and tonight I'll try to do better.

So in appreciation for all Mommy's support, I arranged a birthday lunch with her friends Allison and Amber. My friend Hunter came, too. Hunter and I sat next to each other in our "big kid" high chairs. She kept giving me her toys and then taking mine. Mommy said that was "sharing" and that I should learn love it. (Sorry, she forgot to take pictures!)

Then after lunch, we went home to take a nap...but I still couldn't sleep very well. So I took Mommy for a nice walk instead. The sun was finally out again and it was great bumping into all the neighbor kids who were out enjoying the weather, too.

Then Daddy came home with the presents I sent him to get: A bright, shiny balloon for Mommy to play with, some pretty flowers that won't make her sneeze, and her favorite chocolate cake. He also brought home some dinner...but I just had my avocado and cereal. All-in-all, I think Mommy enjoyed her birthday. I hope I make it all the way to 30 one day. But I guess I'll focus on my first birthday for now.
