Here's Danny with his first advent calendar. Too bad he can't enjoy the chocolate yet! But Mark and I don't mind helping out. Mark's Uncle Erich used to give him and his brother advent calendars and swiss chocolate every year for the holidays. He even indulged me with my very own treats when Mark and I started dating in college!
But earlier this fall, Uncle Erich passed away very unexpectedly. We all miss him very much. So Mark and I decided to carry on the tradition with Danny. In fact, we sent advent calendars to each of Danny's cousins in Montana, Minnesota and Pennsylvania as well. It really is nice having an excuse to sit by the Christmas tree each night and soak in the magic of the holidays!
