Danny went for his 2-month check up and shots today. Mark and I were really nervous about the shots (everyone's got a horror story to share) and considered bailing on the appointment, but we hung in there like the responsible parents we strive to be. Aside from the initial screaming, Danny calmed down quickly and seems to be taking it pretty well. A bit grumpy, but sleeping and eating, sleeping and eating...all day long...seem to be taking care of that. Mark and I, on the other hand, made an emergency trip through the Whataburger drive-thru for some comfort food to calm us down. The great news is that he's gaining lots of weight -- at nearly 12 pounds and 22.5" -- so we must be doing something right! (Although my own measurements at home are more 24", but what do I know?) The picture was taken this morning BEFORE the doctor visit, but I figure it's a good representation of the day. The bib reads appropriately: "Little Monster."
